Nate Natiashima grabbed 4 points early into the first quarter of the game whilst teammate YJ Nakayama was able to fend off two points to stay ahead of the Rollers. John Darag of team Rollers was able to slip past the Ol Aces’ defense once to bag 2 points. The Ol Aces was able to grab the driver’s seat of the game early into the first quarter with a strong grip that was never let loose throughout the entire bout.
Jase Olompai and Jake Ray of the Ol Aces were able to chip in 4 points a piece upon entering the second quarter of the game. The Rollers’ Jeraldine Castillo was able to slip past their defense only once yet again to bag another 2 points for the Rollers. By half time the Ol Aces were leading by 13 sturdy points, 17-4.
Both teams entered the second half with fierce determination to eliminate their foes. But the Ol Aces proved too good to beat after YJ Nakayama deposited another 6 points onto the scoreboard for team Ol Aces while playing side by side with teammate Jase Olompai who collared 4 points to deepen the crevice made in the first half of the game to a secure 17 point lead by the time the siren sealed the third quarter shut, 31-14.
The Ol Aces defeated the fatigue driven Rollers in the fourth quarter after repeatedly stealing possession of the ball from the Rollers’ point guard mid way down the court. YJ Nakayam readily showed his basketball talents on the court in the last four minutes of the game by scoring another 10 points for the Ol Aces to secure their win by 14 points firmly gripping a 45-31 deficit.
