Ol Aces, Advance X-Terminator to meet in FMI championship

In Masters Division, CTSI against Bank of Saipan and Tasi Tours against GEC Pawnshop will play on Thursday’s matches for the third place.

Advance X-Terminator captured the first slot in the playoff series early last month after it defeated Ol Aces in the regular season. It is the only team that beat Ol Aces in this year’s league that the newly organized FMI held for the first time.

In last Sunday’s game, Ol Aces stood their ground as they deprived GEC Pawnshop the chance to grab the championship slot.

Abong Camacho scored 16 points and missed 10 free throws but his defense and rebounds gave Ol Aces most turn overs to set Fred Pelisamen and Jericho Cruz on scoring stance.

Pelisamen scattered 32 points including the finishing kills with a three-pointer in the fourth quarter.

He scored 12 of his total points in the first quarter and continued to score all the way to the final.

Jericho Cruz started his shooting rampage hitting 16 markers in the first quarter to maintain the early lead. He hit three-pointer three times and went scoreless in the fourth quarter.

Pete Iguel scored 12 of his 18 points in the second quarter, and Elias Rangamar added 11 points.

GEC’s Manuel Ajoste tried to catch up by scoring 10 of his 24 points including two three-pointers in the final quarter.
