Olivera, Avore ruled weekend Duathlon

Stan Olivera clocked in at 35 minutes and 22 seconds to win the Open class for men’s division where age range is from 19 – 35 years old. He was then followed by Palau High School student Yuri Ito who came in at a time of 47:05 to get second place whereas, Obichang Ongklungel came in 53 seconds later to capture third place. In women’s division of the same class, Elizabeth Avore crossed the finish line with 42 minutes and 12 seconds to grab first place while, Christy Lejkowski arrived with a time of 47:13 to take second spot followed by Kiblai Kikuo who concluded the race with 50:29. As for the other categories; Junior class A with the age of 14 – 16 years old, boy’s division was dominated by Liam Bornovski trailed by Arley Towai for second then Olai Kumangai on third. On the other hand, Maria Gibbons came in first for the girl’s division chased by Gayle Bornovski; for the Maters Category, 36 – 45 years old, Scott Walsh got first place while Fuanes Oiterong and Freddie Davis got 2nd and 3rd respectively. As for Senior Master Category, 46 – 55 age range, Juan Guatno came first shadowed by  Masakaz Komatsu for the men’s group while, Elizabeth De Jong ruled the women’s; Youngest participant at age thirteen, Morden Louis finished his respective course with an impressive time of twenty-nine minutes and thirty-nine seconds.
