Olopai is September Ace of the Month

Olopai was the September qualifier who got a 66 net score, grossing 78 points after shooting 40 in front nine and 38 in back nine, with a 12-point handicap, during RGA’s August match.

Apparently, no players were able to beat Olopai’s score in the green in the August match. Hence the RGA handed over the title to him.

During last Sunday’s game, Olopai got 71 net, grossing 82 points after putting in 40 in front nine and 42 in back nine, with an 11-point handicap.

Manny Mangarero came out with 68 net points compared against Olopai at Kingfisher.

He grossed 78 points, after shooting 41 in front nine and 37 in back nine, with a handicap of 12 points.

Still, given his score, Mangarero could not be awarded the Ace of the Month title as he is already RGA’s July Ace of the Month.

Under RGA rules, a player who was already awarded the Ace of the Month title could no longer claim another title in the succeeding months within a given season.

The recent game at Kingfisher, RGA cited Jess Wabol for fashioning the closest to the pin on Hole #6, and Sonny Flores for his closest to the pin on Hole #15.

RGA reminds that out of the 23 games set in the current season, its members need to play at least six matches to qualify for the Association’s December finals.

On December 23, RGA will hold its first ever Family Fun Day with the families of its members.
