Aside from the 50 people who filled out forms during the first day of the island-wide registration drive last Saturday, there had been over 50 others who signed up with the members of the MBFNMI board in the past two weeks.
The registration drive will continue every Saturday, at the Joeten Super Store, Hafa Adai Shopping Center in Garapan and Price Costco in San Jose.
MBFNMI board chairman Ray Lizama noted it was a good turn out so far, that veteran players did not only sign up but also showed excitement to be in the basketball court again.
The Masters federation is also inviting O35 players from Rota and Tinian to join the league and the federation. As soon as the list got enough number of players registered, the organizers will hold open dialog with all the players with regards to the league.
The exact date of the league opening has yet to be finalized but the MBFNMI is looking forward to have it done in the soonest possible time.
Also, there are a few individuals who have showed interest in helping the league as commissioner. Lizama said that board will meet with the interested individuals in the next few days.
