Palasia, PNOC – Mercury deals with separate foes

Down by 4 points ending the first quarter, team Palasia re- organized and came out revitalized entering the second canto. Parley played phenomenally with his 34 points output using his outside shooting and his zig zagging moves in the paint, while team mates Arnel and Nathan provided the much assistance dropping 18 and 11 as they were able to extend the lead to the next stages of the match. In spite of getting 22 and 10 from Jerry and Nebu, respectively, the Stingrays could not find any answer in stopping the offensive attack of Palasia succumbing to a score of 74 – 63 at the end of the match.

Meanwhile on the same division, Fish n Fins defeated team Cliffside, 79 – 72, whereas team WCTC / Fuji handled team Island Rhythm pretty well after getting a final tally of 75 – 68 at the buzzer.At the government division, PNOC – Mercury were able to escape a scare from team PNCC, 63 – 61. Wallace of the Mercury scored a deuce from his 12 point production with time running out on PNCC that secured a victory for his team. With regards to other matches, team Cops put on a explosive firepower on team MOH to score another win with a final score of 86 – 55.For the upcoming matches, on September 9 MPIIC goes head to head with MOF while KSG meets with PNC followed by team Galaxy facing off with PPR – Stingrays. Then on September 10, PRR – Royals tries to regroup after a heartbreaking loss on previous night as they match up with Sam’s Sharks, while Cliffside meets with Island Rhythm, whereas team Surangel face off with team Palasia. On September 11, KSG tries to challenge team PNOC – Mercury followed by a battle between two teams who have not suffered a lost, MPIIC and team Spiders.

21 teams split into two divisions, Government and Business, vying for this year’s championship crown. The 2009 Rudimch Enterprise GBL is operated and under the close supervision of the Palau Basketball Federation.
