Peleliu, Rubaks, IT&E prevail in Belau Masters

Masaharu doubled before he scored the lone run in the first inning, on Charley Kenty’s double.

Paul Ogumoro knocked-in a run-scoring single and Dave Kapileo drove in a run in the third inning.

After a scoreless fourth inning, Leo Bobai walked in the fifth before Masaharu’s HR drove him home.

Bernard Keleleman had an RBI single and Norman Mobel duplicated it before he was thrown out on a fly ball. Bobai struck out one and gave up eight hits.

Rubaks 14, Red Men 4

The Rubaks surged to three consecutive RBIs in the second inning to beat the Red Men.

Rufino Aguon hit an RBI double, Jerwin and Martin added RBI singles to cap the five-run second inning for Rubak’s strong lead.

Theo Minor fired a run-scoring single in the third, followed by Reno Celis’ two RBI single and the Rubaks never trailed.

Payton Sakuma walked before he and Celis scored two runs to finish off the Red Men.

IT &E 12, Sufa 2

Jack Diaz drove in three runs with a double, Ed Kapileo also hit a run-scoring double and Larry Sebaklin drove in two runs as IT&E pounded Sufa in the second inning.

Pep Tenorio singled and Diaz doubled before they both scored runs to put up the lead in the first inning.

Perry Besong led off a single, Frank Cruz and Stan Techur did the same then, New Techur triggered the streak of run-scoring base hits that continued all the way with Sebaklim’s two RBIs.

Ed Kapileo added an RBI single in the fourth and Tom Diaz scored a run in the fifth.
