Pelisamen, Andoks outrun Mix Blood in UFO caging

The Mix Bloods took a beating from Pelisamen’s relentless layups in both halves.

Controlling the first and second quarters by 22-17 and 41-36, respectively, team Andoks had the lead in their hands. Pelisamen drove for the basket again and again, scoring 13 in the first quarter. The team lost both Jon Artates and Joy Dayrit later in the game due to excessive fouls.

Mix Blood’s Dennis Morales, hoping for a breakthrough, found his opening in the third period. Despite his string of free throws and a three-pointer however, Andoks’ Mike Olaitiman and Pando Muleta controlled possession on a late-game steal from Randy Mungcal.

Barely taking a break, Pelisamen led team Andoks on a clean 35-21 run in the fourth quarter. The score leader tallied 20 more as Peter Camacho scored 12 on open jump shots.

The Mix Bloods slowly collapsed on a 20-point deficit with two minutes left on the clock.

Mungcal ranked second to Pelisamen at 25 points, followed by Morales’ 23.
