PETER “Dung” Tenorio edged Joe Torres in a scorecard playoff to clinch the Amigos Golf Club’s November Ace of the Month title at Laolao Bay Golf & Resort on Sunday.
Tenorio played exceptionally well throughout the two-day tournament.
In the qualifier round on Oct. 20, Tenorio rose to the top three as he shot a gross of 78, which, with a handicap of 5, gave him a net score of 73 after completing all 18 holes.
During the ace round held on Sunday, Tenorio ended with a gross of 77, a net score of 72, and a net total of 145.
Joe Torres also accumulated a two-day net score of 145.
Torres shot a day 1 gross of 85 and a day 2 gross of 88, and played with a handicap of 14.
The scorecard playoff was decided on hole #4, where Torres shot a bogey while Tenorio closed with a par.
In the optional play, the par 3 winners were Jay Muna for hole #3, Nick Deleon Guerrero for hole #13, and Joe Sasamoto for hole #17. The winner for each hole was awarded $150.
The December qualifier is scheduled for this Sunday, Nov. 17, on the east course of Laolao Bay Golf & Resort.
