So many young athletes were awarded at the PNOC’s 9th Annual Sports Award Banquet at the Palau Pacific Resort last Friday, 9th of April 2009 awardees for the different sports federations. However, there were only two younger sports person standout as Stevick Patris of weightlifintg and Osisang Chilton of both swimming and triathlon grabbed the most prestigious award named Athlete of the Year. Young Stevick Patris who have been in the sport of weightlifting started on a very young age. He has have shown tremendous effort and dedication to the sport that he signed to and have grown to be a powerful young athlete. He has performed many competitions on weightlifting and has proved to be the perfect choice of an athlete to award as the Male Athlete of the Year. Osisang Chilton labored her way giving all her exertion and devotion and persevered to be the best on two sports, swimming and triathlon to attain her highest achievement thus far naming her the Female Athlete of the Year by PNOC at an early age of 13.
