Sonny Ebuen led PPG Paint in the first quarter, sinking two triples and a quick basket around the rim to give his team a 21-16 lead.
In the 2nd quarter, Islander Rent a Car couldn’t do much to stop PPG Paint from expanding its lead, 35-24.
In the second half, PPG Paint’s Galulu made a defensive statement with seven steals and 11 points while Islander Rent a Car’s Sedillo chipped in 11 buckets. Ebuen and Galulu’s quick strides eventually gave PPG Paint a 78-63 win.
Ebuen was named player of the game.
In the Open Division, the Blue Eagles forfeited to give PIC its first win of the season.
