Predator’s Aiken beats Fitial in Predator or Prey

The fight sponsored by the Gorilla Warfare who also brought UFC veteran Kimo Leopoldo, was attended by a close to a thousand mixed martial arts fans and dozens of fighters.

The main event that followed after 10 fights including a bout between two female pugs was given a standing ovation afterwards as the two heavyweight fighters showed a great sense of sportsmanship.

In the ring, they were more of friends than fighters.

Fitial managed to keep the first in stand up fight with Aiken only getting the chance to bring to his own way in the final two minutes.

At the start of the second round, Aiken failed to put Fitial down with his kicks in the legs, although The Big Hit almost lost his balance.

The Predator gained the upper hand midway to the end of the second round.

The third round was punctuated with a ground and pound with Aiken finding an ally with the canvass leaving Fitial immobile beneath him.

In the semi-main event, Slade Adelbai and Syl Teregeyo stood ground and ended the three rounds with the draw.

“There are no good fighters in this cage, only good friends,” Adelbai said after he and Teregeyo were declared both winners.

It was more of a ground fight a as Adelbai gained control of the first and second round as he managed to bring it to ground fight.

Teregeyo however gained ground after landing a right hook at Adelbai who still managed to gain control two minutes to the end of the second round which referees decided to be the last one.

Fans wanted to see the third round but judges already came out with the decision.

In another undercard, Luka Iakapo “Bad News” Tapupa Ialupe defeated California-based fighter, Johnny Mercurio with head and arm choke in the second round.

Mercurio successfully maintained it in the stand up fight in the first round but a few seconds to the send of second, Luka managed to bring it to the ground fight.

Mercurio got a standing ovation after he said “I love you all people of Saipan, thank you for your hospitality.”

With much respect, Luka said he knows how good US-based fighters are. He just did all his best.
