PRIORITY Care trounced Docomo, 80-65, in the 2023 R&J Wine and Liquor Inter-Government/Business League at the Ada gym on Saturday.

In the first quarter, both teams battled for control of the tempo.

Docomo’s Shane Deleon Guerrero and Jonathan Pelisamen found their stroke in the opening quarter, scoring eight and nine points, respectively.

Priority Care, for their part, played solidly as a team to hold a one-possession lead, 25-23.

In the next three quarters, Docomo struggled to keep the momentum burning without a proper point guard. Turnovers were inevitable, creating scoring opportunities for Priority Care’s Steve King, Matt Duenas and Ramon Agulto, and allowing their team to gain a near double-digit advantage, 45-37.

Docomo’s Deleon Guerrero and Donnovan Santos stood at the frontline throughout the second half, but despite their valiant efforts, Priority Care maintained the upper hand with more firepower at their disposal.

King and Duenas took the spotlight in the third period while the spotlight shifted to Marvin Rabauliman in the fourth and final canto with finishes inside the paint to secure the win, 80-65.
