GOING into the playoffs, Priority Care acquired their fifth win of the season by trouncing Aljric, 100-80, in the open division of the 2025 IT&E-United Filipino Organization Basketball League at the Gilbert C. Ada Gymnasium on Sunday.

What unfolded was a high-scoring performance from Priority Care’s Steve King, who lit up the scoreboard with 42 points, including 12 three-pointers.

Right from the start, King scored six points before extending his range beyond the arc, delivering a barrage of treys —sinking four in a row at one point — to push the lead into double digits.

Teammate Matt Duenas also found his rhythm from afar, draining three consecutive triples.

Aljric’s Jhay Gatbonton served as a beacon for his team, scoring 10 points with help from Rjhay Singca and Nikko Mejarito. However, their efforts couldn’t keep up with Priority Care, which led by nearly 30 points at halftime, 55-28.

Aljric attempted a second-half rally as Singca caught fire, leading the charge with 21 points. But Priority Care’s depth proved too much, with Francisco Mizutani and Tony Kim providing crucial two-way contributions — racking up steals, assists, and a flurry of transition points — to seal a comfortable 100-80 victory.

Joining the winner’s circle was The Game, which notched a double-digit win against A+ Consulting, 93-79.

Scores:

Priority Care 100 – Steve King 42, Francisco Mizutani 19, Matt Duenas 16, Leo Galarse 6, Tony Kim 6,  Airson Atan 4, Justice Aldan 2, Bryce Maratita 2

Aljric 80 – Rjhay Singca 28, Jhay Gatbonton 22, Andrew Sy 10, Mark Aycardo 7, Nikko Mejarito 7, Julius Domine 4, Marc Frial 2
