PROA conquers Satbahi

From the start until the finale of the game team PROA bagged the lead of the slicing through the grueling competition quarter by quarter.

Team Satbahi tried to put a small glitch to this game by tying with PROA during the third quarter but in the end, team Satbahi faltered in the last critical minutes of the quarter missing crucial shots and charities.

Dan Barcinas nailed 11 points to fill in for Jack Lizama throughout the first 10  minutes of the collision. Pete Iguel refused to let his presence on the court go unnoticed and he too garnered 9 points for team PROA to snatch the driver’s seat of the game, 32-23.

This series of events ignited the winning rally for team PROA and they proved that nothing would stand in their way. Satbahi’s Elgeanne Mangali bagged a jump shot and connected to the basket twice afterwards for two successful three pointer shots. But that was not match for PROA.

Team PROA stepped it up a notch upon entering the second quarter of the game. Iguel flared the scoreboard after collaring 15 points throughout the allotted quarter to leave the Satbahis behind. By halftime PROA was in the lead by 21 points, 56-35.

Satbahi was history after being mauled repeatedly during the second half of the bout. Iguel was unstoppable. After 10 minutes if being let loose on the court he gathered another 9 points for PROA sending their fans in a wild frenzy, 74-56.

Team PROA nailed the kill during the last quarters of the game. After the damage done in the earlier quarters were far from repair, NMC’s victory was inevitable.

Coach Rufino Aguon refused to leave his players lower their guards down. Dan Barcinas contributed his 7 pence in the last quarter of the game followed by teammate Dave Sablan’s final jump shot to seal the game and tuck another win under their belts, 92-71.
