“We encourage all our teams, players, coaches, and team managers to be on the ‘parade of teams’ which starts at 5 p.m.,” said league organizer Rey Perez in an email to Variety. “We will give ample time for players to clear their schedule on that particular day to give way for our opening rites, like what we did last year.”
First game starts at 6:30 p.m. and the second starts at 8:30 p.m.
Teams that will compete this year with their captains in parenthesis are Mobil (Marvin Decares and Jun Estolas), Rollers (Joe Diaz), Sonics (Omar Ajoste), Prospect (Perry Inos), Konflikt (Elmer Esdrelon), Blu Hauz (Dexter Tenorio), Smart Cagers (Ehroll Peredo), and Ferrera Builders (Wowie Abuel).
Docomo Pacific prevailed in the league’s first season last November after beating the Ferrera Builders in a championship series.
League organizers would like to thank the following co-sponsors: MARPAC, Hard Rock Cafe, Ernie Molina, Rollers Basketball Club, Masters Basketball Federation of the Northern Marianas Islands.
