The Variety learned that nine teams have already confirmed their entrance in the 2nd Annual QQ Car Rental Basketball Invitational Tournament that will be played at the Garapan Court. The competition line-up now includes: Mobil, Ferrera Builders, Konflikt, Cellpro, Smart Cagers, Blue Hauz, Rollers A, Rollers B, and Sonics.
The games are scheduled to commence every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday with two games per night starting at 6 pm. There will be an opening ceremony to introduce all of the participants and a parade to showcase their banners and uniforms on the 30th.
This year the organizers decided to twist the competition by hosting the All-Stars game after the elimination round, a 3-points Shoot-Out competition, and a youth caging; the U12 basketball exhibition match during the championship round.
“We want this season to be as good as usual. We want to showcase not only basketball talents and skills but importantly their attitude towards the game this year,” said league organizer Rey Perez in an email to the Marianas Variety.
The organizers are extending their invitation to all interested teams until April 20 to submit their final roster and registration fee of $400. There are three more slots available before the league kick-offs this month.
