Top 4 competitors were left, Kaito Fuji versus Ramon Gulla and Ben Ramos versus Pin Fang Stone of the 16 individuals who joined the tennis matches. Played under scorching heat for the title that started Sunday morning, the four individuals battle it out. And with Ramon dictated the game against Kaito where he won and Stone controlled Ben for the victory, the best of three sets championship match was then between Ramon and Stone and the fight for third place will be for Ben and Kaito.
After finding himself down by a set and a feeling a little bit of a fatigue, Ramon found his second wind by changing his strategic plan of attack using long passes instead of short on the second set in which his opponent could not get a grip that eventually equalized the set 1 – 1. He then continued such game plan on the third set which paid good results. Consequently, Stone could not find his strokes back as he folded in the third and gave in for a loss in which Ramon finished the set and match, 3 – 6, 6 – 3, and 6 – 3.Then on the battle for third place, young tennis sensation Kaito Fuji, who is only 12 years old and goes to school at Maris Stella, totally directed the tempo of the match against the much older Ben Ramos that led to his victory with set scores of 6 – 4 & 6 – 1. As one of the many different games that is being run as part of the 25th pre-celebration of the Palau Pacific Resort (PPR), tennis tournament continues on May 2 & 3 for the Seniors level, 50 and above, competition.
