Rangers 2 games away to SML pennant

Starter Elton Santos had nine strike outs and gave only four base hits to help the Rangers keep the D-9ers scoreless in four straight innings.

Center fielder Tyrone Omar led off a single, got the scoring spot on a passed ball and Juan Iguel drove him in while being grounded out on the first base.

Pete Tomokane hit an RBI single and Benwachi Taisacan knocked-in a run-scoring triple to put up the lead against the D-9ers in the first inning.

Iguel popped a run-scoring double, Shane Yamada drove in a run on a catching error before Sliliil strengthened the second inning with a two-run single.

Iguel drove in run of the third time in the third inning as the Rangers kept the lead.

Pat Alepuyo’s line drive for a single drove in two runs while Omar and Yamada knocked-in an RBI single in the fifth, and the Rangers never looked back.

Iguel fired his fourth base hit and in the ninth inning to end the D-9ers hope to recover.
