The Brewers opened the SML best-of-three finals last week by defeating the Rangers, 7-4 with run-scoring singles from Ton Celis, Byron Kaipat and Manny Quitano.
The Rangers got even with the Brewers last Friday in a 20-run mercy rule win—which came into effect three years ago when the Rangers defeated the Korean Dreams with insurmountable 49 lead in March 2007.
Roy Celis blasting a two–run single and Kelvin Kapileo driving in two runs with a line drive, the Rangers established the lead in the first inning.
Elton Santos struck out five and gave up three hits to help the Rangers hold the Brewers scoreless.
Pete Tomokane and Pat Alepuyo an RBI single and Jesus Iguel drove in a run before being grounded out on a short stop. Shane Yamada hit a run-scoring single with his line drive before he was thrown out.
Dave Camacho sent three base runners home as he fired a grounder to the center field that helped him reach the first base safe.
Roy Celis had his second base hit—a run-scoring grounder for a single in the second inning to help the Rangers achieve the 20-run rule victory.
