Celis who is now just a couple of base hits away to hit the top batters’ list went 3-for-4 just like Byron Kaipat who fired a two-run home run in the first inning.
With BJ Attao and Kaipat’s home runs in the first, and Marvin Palacios’ solo home run in the second, the Island Rebels were in control of the ball game.
Oscar Sablan knocked-in a run-scoring single in the third, Toi Celis hit his second RBI single in the fourth and Island Rebels stayed in front.
Ray Cepeda singled and BJ Attao singled before Celis fired his three-run home run, Mitch Aaron and Jeff Isaac walked and the Island Rebels stomped the bases with nine runs in the fifth inning.
Craig Sanchez had his third strike out to help the Island Rebels hold UR Balls scoreless in the bottom of the fifth and secure their 21-8 victory.
Chura 23, Ramblers 13
With one out in the second inning Mario Sablan walked and Ben Mesa connected a two-run home run to tie the ball game.
Mel Sakisat copied it and Chura grabbed the lead. Ben Tagabuel and Sakisat had an RBI single in the third and Marion Sablan drove-in run with a double to stretch the lead.
Chura’s rampage continued in the bottom of the fourth as Tagabuel hit a run-scoring triple and Dave Camacho, a two-run home run. Leerdy Sablan also had an RBI single.
Camacho and Jay Tilipao had an RBI double apiece in the sixth inning to complete their 23-13 win.
Man Amigos 20, Hitz 15
Jerry Ayuyu blasted a three-run home and Manny Sablan had two-run homer to help Man Amigos established a strong lead in the first inning.
John Terlaje and Julian Camacho who made it in the top batters’ list added single apiece to their season record before Joey Dela Cruz launched a three-run home run in the second inning.
Camacho drove-in two with a single and Ayuyu had another RBI single and the Man Amigos raced away in the fourth inning.
Ayuyu rocketed a two-run home run and Dela Cruz had solo home run to end Hitz hope to catch up.
Freedom Air Flyers 13, Go for Broke 8
The Freedom Air Flyers allowed only two hits in the first and second innings as they lambasted Go for Broke with five runs to settle in the upper ground.
Reno Celis had a two RBI double and Mel Manahane drove-in a run on a fielder’s choice.
Chris Castro drove-in a run with a sacrifice fly before Ray Kaipat and Manahane fired a run-scoring base hit apiece.
Ken Villagomez has a solo home run and the Freedom Flyers remained strong in the fourth.
Castro rocketed a three-run home run and Kaipat soloed in the fifth to secure their victory.
