The Twins were the first ones who showed the winning stance, with lead-off batter Roke Tenorio blasting a solo home run in the top of the first inning.
Starting pitcher, Covy Camacho however went sharp from the mound striking out three consecutive batters in one file to shorten the opening inning. He tallied a total of 11 strike outs.
Eric Cruz went safe to the first base on an error, stole second base and tied the ball game on a throwing error by the catcher.
Twin’s pitcher Darion Jones got back at the Red Sox batters retiring three in a row giving the Red Sox a short-lived inning as well.
The defense smothered from both teams keeping the home plate unbeaten in the next four innings, until Tenorio swung his second base hit—a double—and scored a run on an error in the sixth inning. Tommy Congao got the first base a throwing error at the short stop then, helped the Twins take the lead on another error.
In the bottom of the sixth, Jhace Palacios singled and Aguon drove him in with a triple. Aguon’s easy sprint to the home base tied the ball game and Nakamura tripled before a throwing error at the short stop helped the Red Sox finish off the Twins.
Braves 18, Strikers 1
Ian Norita struck out 10, gave up only one base hit and walked three helping the Tanapag Braves nail the Shell Strikers to one run for their 18-1 victory.
Franklin Lizama set the lead by hitting a two RBI single in the bottom of the first inning, and the Braves went on to secure home bases three more times to start strong.
Joseph Guerrero hit an RBI single while Norita knocked-in a run-scoring double in the second inning.
Guerrero added one run on a fielder’s choice in the third.
The Braves continued the streak in the sixth with Lizama driving in a run on a fielder’s choice and Guerrero firing his third base hit—a run-scoring double before JJ Lifoifoi drove him in on a single to secure the Braves’ mercy rule win.
Dragons 12, Hustlers 1
Harvey Matagolai and Devyn Flores drove-in two runs with a single and double respectively in the first bottom of the first inning and the Dragons never trailed to beat the Hustlers, 12-1.
Alden Ngeskebei singled before AJ Deleon Guerrero knocked-in a triple to keep the Dragons raging after one complete inning.
Ngeskebei popped out an inside-the-park home run to help the Dragons keep the strong lead and they never looked back.
Ol’ Aces 14, IT&E 1
Terson Eina knocked-in a run-scoring triple and the Ol’ Aces put up the lead in the bottom of the first inning to beat IT&E, 14-1.
Vironlanson Secharmidal singled and stole the home base then, Jerome Reyes hit an RBI single to help the Ol’ Aces stay on the upper ground in the second.
Kenji Yamagata launched a run-scoring home run, Mike Muna a run-scoring double and Payton Lizama drove-in a run before he was tagged out at the first base in the third inning.
Jesse Brel rocketed a solo home run and Secharmidal delivered his third base hit sending Yamagata home.
