Redmen, Salty Boys, Rubaks win in Belau Masters

Joe Johanes and Esang Olkeriil singled before Roland Martin drove them in to tie the game and the Red Men had one out left to avoid and extend the streak.

Third baseman Martin Rengie sent two base runners home on an error by short stop to take the lead before Tokai Isikawa was ran down halfway to the first base.

James Mewata drove in a run on a fielder’s choice, Olkeriil walked one home, Lucian George hit an RBI single and Rengie drove in another run on an error at the short stop again, and the Redmen kept grip of the lead and win the game, 12-8.

Salty Boys 12, Sufa 2

Ben Camacho’s solo home run for Sufa came too late as this happened after the Salty Boys already clobbered them with run-scoring base hits in five complete innings.

The Salty Boys established the strong lead in the bottom of the first inning with Fulk Haruo firing a two-run double, Steve Brel driving in two with a single while John Kentaro and Luis Ngiraikelau hitting an RBI single apiece.

After two scoreless inning, the Salty Boys went on to score three runs with Vic Dukor and High Asanuma hitting single apiece and Kentaro driving in a run to stretch the lead ending Sufa’s hope to catch up.

Rubaks 8, Lancheros 5

Left fielder Payton Sakuma and Short stop Reno Celis knocked in two RBI single apiece and the Rubaks kept the advantage all the way to the ball game against the Lancheros, 8-5.

Otes Olkeriil led off a single in the bottom of the first inning and Rufino Aguon fired a two-run single to put up the lead.

Olkeriil hit his second base hit as he and Teo Minor singled in the third then, after the second out, Sakuma drove in two with a single.

Celis’ two-run single and Aguon’s RBI single widened the gap in the fifth inning, and Roland Tagelbed added a run with a sacrifice fly in the sixth.

The Lancheros rallied in the top of the seventh inning with Bill Aguon knocking in a two RBI single but Celis caught two fly balls to cut it short to secure their victory.
