And last but not least came Jay Cabrera with a net of 71; 46 in the front and 43 in the back.
Carl Hocog, Yasu Irinaka, JJ Atalig, and Luis Cepeda each nailed a Closest to the Pin in holes no.3, 7, 12, and 14 respectively.
Although having a slight battle with the weather the Ace of April tournament was graced with 14 golfers to endure the grueling competition last Sunday.
“It rained at 11 for about 10 minutes but after the weather was beautiful. All the golfers enjoyed the game last Sunday and it was nothing short of competition as well,” said tournament coordinator Jay Cabrera in an interview with Variety.
“We look forward to the upcoming competition the association will have in the months to come” added Cabrera.
“THE XGA is still accepting membership for all interested golf participants and anyone else who wants to give golf a try. The membership fee is $50 during the initial entrance and then a renewal fee of $40 every year following that,” explained Cabrera.
When asked how many members the XGA has Cabrera said, “So far we have 37 golfers in our association. However, we usually expect a normal turn out of 18 to 24 golfers during our monthly tournaments.”
The association offers Closest-to-Pin awards along with hole-in-one opportunities. All aces, from January to December, will have a final competition for the two day Ace of Ace tournament at the end of the year. All winners will be recognized and prizes will be handed out during the end of the year banquet.
