The Kingz, whose only loss came from a double overtime game against team School House Roc, will play HTK (three wins, one loss). The Rockafellas will play Alpha Q in their next game.
The outcome of these two games could change the order of this season’s top four groups.
Recently, the Rockstars juiced Leche Dude 49-39, Rockafella juiced YGS 48-17, HTK juiced team Geek 43-28, and the Fil’aces came back from a first set loss and juiced HI 5, 43-29. The Rockafellas played twice in the last series of games and juiced G6 48-13. Alpha Q went into overtime to defeat School House Roc and the Kingz juiced the Fil’aces in a close game, 40-37.
In Rocball jargon, a ‘juice’ win is when a team outscores their opponent in game points and wins the last set of the game. It doesn’t matter how many sets a team wins. It’s all about the total points scored in a game and which team won the final set
In a game between the Fil’aces and Kingz for example, the former won the first two sets (16-14, 16-11) and had a seven-point lead going into the third set. The Kingz, however, won, 15-5 and led 40-37 in total game points.
The Fil’aces won two out of their three sets but still lost the game.
As for the heavy hitters of the seven most recent games, HTK’s Jake Kapwich was the top gun with five aces, two xunks, and one goal. Rockstars’ Mathew Lisua scored three aces, one kee, and two goals. Jason Limes of the Rockafellas scored five aces, one xunk, and one kee for 14 points.
Teacher Tyce Mister of School House Roc scored three aces, one kee, and one goal for 11 points.
In other Rocball scoring highlights, Rockstars’ Mathew Lisua scored two goals in one game while Alpha Q scored three goals in another. Rockafella’s Jason Limes and Wilton Laniyo scored five aces each in the last seven games.
