Ending the game with 102-67, the Sixers had a hard time catching up in the first quarter when the Hi-5s took the lead, 21-11.
After firing a two pointer for the Sixers, Lee White attempted to follow up shot but was fouled and made his free throw shots.
Dave Sablan poured in five successive shots handing the Hi-5s a huge lead in the second half.
While in the heat of their offensive plays, Kae Bernardo contributed six points.
By the end of the third quarter, both teams rallied, and with two seconds left, White Capalad went unguarded and soared for a lay up, handing the final points to the Hi-5s.
While the Sixers focused on the offensive, Hi-5’s Sablan sneaked away to his favorite side of the court then, delivered more points six minutes into the fourth quarter.
Matt Duenas also proved himself to be a threat as Ernest Duenas back him up to close in during the final seconds of the game.
Rebels 73, Saints 62
Fast offensives by Mike Olaitiman, Ivan De Vero and Jesus Iguel handed the O’Doul’s Runnin’ Rebels the win over the Budweiser Saints.
After an easy three pointer by LJ Reyes in the early seconds of the game, the Rebels spent no time fooling around. They needed quick passes to key players.
In a flash, De Vero knocked out a few baskets with his one handed lay ups. Iguel took over the ball and broke the tie leaving the Rebels two points ahead.
The Saints attempted to outrun the Rebels in the second quarter but Joemar Tumaquip missed a pass causing a turn over.
The Saints started to lose momentum for a couple of minutes but decides to call a time out.
While Rebels’ Leroy Rangamar used speed, Saints’ Melvin Manibusan used his size to over power them.
He made six points in the second half while Reyes led the Saints with 17 markers. Juan Camacho added 16.
Camacho and Reyes narrowed the gap but could not find enough time to even the scores.
