NASH Santos, Jacob Encabo, and Beau Bauer topped their respective age categories in the boys division after completing the fourth and final qualifier round of the PSS/NMA All School Cross Country SY24-25 at Airport Field on Saturday.

Marked by an exhilarating display of speed and endurance, the fourth and final qualifier of the season saw some of the best high school runners go head-to-head in a tightly contested race.

Nash Santos of Saipan International School emerged victorious, crossing the finish line with an impressive time of 18:03. Santos established his dominance early on, setting a pace that only a few could match.

Despite the efforts of Michael Miller of Marianas High School, who finished second at 18:16, and Agape Christian School’s Jireh Wang, who clocked 18:19, Santos maintained his lead throughout the final stretch. Wang’s push in the last kilometer closed the gap, but it wasn’t enough.

Filling the rest of the top 10 list were MHS’ Takeru Jim (18:26), ACS’ James Fan (18:52), Saipan Southern High School’s Simon Tang (19:22), ACS’ Raffy Cai (19:27), SIS’ Landen Taflinger (19:40), and ACS’ Steve Yang (20:28).

In the middle school category, Jacob Encabo of Dandan Middle School finished first with an impressive time of 13:15. The battle for second place was a bit more intense with ACS’ Lucas Yang clocking 14:00 to beat DMS’ Yuxi Lu, who came in at 14:16.

In fourth to ninth places were Chacha Middle School’s Kyle Naputi, CHA’s Benaiah Murphy, DMS’ Korshed Berdan, SIS’ Andre Guerrero, SIS’ Eunchan Ko, and DMS’ Ethan Sablan.

In the elementary school category, Beau Bauer of Grace Christian Academy topped the race with a time of 6:47 while Gabriel Walsh came in second at 7:15 and O’Marion Reyes finished third at 7:22.

In fourth to 10th places were Evan Poole (7:22), Ellis Fehrenbacker (7:55), Jireh Fu Yile (8:01), Enyan Job Gong, Eumond Peter, Lorenzo Deleon Guerrero and Jaydin Camacho.

The results of the girls’ division races will be included in the next edition of Variety.
