Sato is known for keeping a steady pace and has ruled several running competitions. On Sunday, he made his way to the Bank of Guam intersection in Garapan and back to the Kilili Pavilion finish line with a time of 44:41 to win the race.
Whitney Altizer trailed closely behind, clocking in at 42:03 while Ken T. Song locked in the third spot as he was just a minute behind with a time of 43:04 followed by Jang Chang at fourth place, crossing the finish line at 49:57 and Jay-Ar Barrios at fifth place with a time of 50:51.
Leading the women’s division of the 10km run was Maki Narita who finished well ahead of the competition with a time of 45:20.
Five minutes later Sarka Glanchova came in to take second place with a time of 50:15 while Anika Snyder settled for third place just a few seconds behind with a finish time of 50:23. Fourth placer Astrid Poole clocked in at 55:48 while Kathleen Tolentino was fifth place at 58:26.
