Scoring spree propels Kanoa 1 past Shirley’s, 10–3

KANOA Football Club 1 remains at the top of its game in the boys division of the TakeCare Youth Soccer League Fall 2025 after earning its second win of the season with a 10–3 victory over Shirley’s Football Club on Saturday at the NMI Soccer Training Center in Koblerville.

SFC struck first when Karl Diaz scored in the 5th minute, but KNFC 1 quickly equalized four minutes later with Benaiah Murphy finding the back of the net to make it 1–1.

For the next 15 minutes, the artificial turf was filled with back-and-forth action, with neither team able to break the deadlock.

The breakthrough came in the 27th minute when Ronald Manabat scored to give KNFC 1 the lead. A minute later, Zion Ulloa doubled the advantage, and in the 34th minute, Damien Concepcion added another. SFC’s Yon Lauron managed to pull one back in the 30th minute, cutting the deficit to 4–2 at halftime.

In the second half, KNFC 1 put the game out of reach with a flurry of goals. Concepcion struck again in the 39th minute, while Ulloa completed a hat trick with three straight goals in the 52nd, 53rd, and 55th minutes. KNFC 1 added two more in the 56th and 60th minutes.

SFC’s Justo Quitugua scored in the 46th minute, but it wasn’t enough, as KNFC 1 ran away with a 10–3 victory.

Also victorious were Paire Football Club over KNFC 2, 9–0; Matansa Football Club over Latte Football Club 2 via forfeit, 3–0; and MP United Football Club and Latte FC 1, who battled to a 1–1 draw.
