Basketball Association of Northern Mariana Islands president and development officer said they are now in the process of formulating the criteria which is likely to include consistency, team work, leadership and sportsmanship.
Nominees for MVP should have played no less than nine games in order to meet the criteria.
Rangamar said the coach of each team may nominate one or two players.
League coordinator, Ponce Rasa Jr., said the Inter-government & Business League has five more games left. As soon as these games are done, BANMI will sit down with coaches and managers to discuss the playoff format and accept nomination for regular season MVP. The date of the meeting will be announced later but Rasa assured it will be at the Gilbert C. Ada Gym conference room.
The remaining games are between CHC and NTT Docomo; Customs and Micronesian Brokers Inc., on Monday next week; Tinian versus CHC; Hyatt versus NTT Docomo on Nov. 13 and MBI versus Tinian on Nov. 14.
Rangamar said they will have the criteria for MVP prior to the meeting.
