Ernest Duenas scored 24 for Sixers, spreading himself in the hard court all throughout the match.
Duenas fashioned most of his shots during the second period despite heavy interference from Kontenders.
Moreover, he was the one who sealed the game for Sixers with his two points crafted out of two free throws, leaving Kontenders wallowing in the final score of 61 points.
Joe Ada and Matt Duenas, also of Sixers helped out with their respective 13 shots.
Kontenders’ Trevor Ogumoro offered several three-point shots in the beginning until the later part of the game.
He attempted six rainbow shots in all which somehow regulated the score deficit against his team.
Early on, Ogumoro fired two consecutive three points that connected to the basket.
In response, Sixers doused Kontenders with precious two-pointers which paved the way for a relatively wide deficit that haunted Kontenders until the end.
Sixers still has two matches left in the league, and that is with Junior Nationals and Sonics – two of the top teams.
On the other hand, Kontenders has three more games to go to prove its worth. These games will allow them to pit against Sonics, G-Stars, and Chalan Kanoa Saints.
