Sonics crashed into Kontenders, 77-58, with its two key players – Leo Galarse and Tristan Ecalnea as highest scorers for their team.
But this was not without any participation was from other Sonics members who have also contributed a good deal of points.
Ecalnea made only three points in the first period, but stepped up to mark more baskets, turning in several lay ups and medium range shots through fastbreak play.
Sonics cagers capitalized on defense and steal in order to gain advantage over Kontenders which threatened to overturn them along the way.
Kontenders’ Jester Kaipat who totaled 21 points in the entire game, fashioned one three-pointer and a series of shots inside the zone. His drive paved the way for some Sonics members to commit some fouls to stop the ball while on play.
However, Sonics tried to rotate the ball among its team members to allow for some potential baskets in the process.
Besides, Galarse equaled Kaipat’s three-point shot by firing one three-pointer at the end of the period. Such performance sealed the match in favor of Sonics.
Sonics now holds a 6-0 win-lose card as opposed to Kontenders which carry a 2-4 win-lose ticket.
Sonics still has one more game left in the league, while Kontenders have two.
