No. 13 Manuel Ajoste of Sonics shot a total of 17 points over his fellow Sonics teammates, and even outscoring Nate Mateo of G-Stars who made 13 points in the entire game.
Ajoste fired shots inside the painted area and even made two rainbow shots behind the arc to bring Sonics on higher grounds than G-Stars.
Other Sonics cagers who helped Ajoste in the court were Noel Soria and Leo Galarse who made nine points each.
Bryan Ajoste and Augustine Hocog contributed eight points each.
G-Stars team got nailed at 49 points on the board during the 2nd half of play, and was not able to free itself from that point on.
From the 1st half, G-Stars used up eight team fouls, but Sonics committed only four.
During the 2nd half, both teams have made 10 fouls each, but this situation did not prevent Sonics from firing shots near the basket.
Sonics continued to bombard the ring until the scoreboard tilted in its favor, down the last minute.
Sonics reigned in the 1st period over G-Stars, 40-28, and on the 2nd period, 41-20.
Sonics is scheduled to play again on September 11 against Rollers II. This will be their first match under the Rotary league.
G-Stars will hit the hardcourt again on August 30 to clash with Jr. Nationals.
