The tournament will be on a double Peoria format.

Fee is $30 per player, excluding the green fee.

Registration starts at 9 a.m., and the tee time will be 10 a.m.

Awards and banquet will be held right after the tournament and the venue will be announced later.

Cash prize will be awarded to the first to fifth place winners.

Challenge will be on Hole No. 3, while closest to the pin will be contested on Hole Nos. 7, 12 and 14.

Mulligans are sold at $5 per piece but a maximum of two only.

Marianas Apnea Spearfishing

THE Marianas Apnea Spearfishing Club is holding its annual tournament at the Smiling Cove Marina on May 16.

Category includes biggest catch and total count of catch.

The tournament starts at 6 p.m., to 4 p.m.

The registration deadline will be on May 9, Friday at 5 p.m.

According to Apnea president, Morito Asai, there will be no area limitation. Anglers can reach all the way to Tinian and Rota for the fishing spot, except for the sanctuary and diving spots.

More donations for Oceania caging

THE Basketball Association of the Northern Mariana Islands would like to recognize the major contribution of the Joeten Charitable Foundation who is set to donate $5,000 check to the FIBA Oceania Basketball Tournament Organizing Committee today.

In attendance with the JCF Board Members and the T.O.C. to accept this contribution will be FIBA Oceania Secretary General Mr. Steve Smith.  He will be present on island from tomorrow until Wednesday for important meetings and further assessment of the tournament’s progress.
