Peredo fought it out against 30 other players in the two-hour event, stopping Dennis Tababa at second place. Clark Boswell came in at third place, while Ray Babauta followed at fourth.

The tournament utilized all of PIC’s ping pong tables and involved mainly its employees, according to the company’s technical supervisor, Mar Pabalan.

Some of the prizes that Peredo will be enjoying are an $80 cash prize and a paid day off.

General membership meeting for little league baseball

The Saipan Little League Baseball Inc. would like to inform all current board members, managers, coaches, umpires and other interested individuals that there will be a general membership meeting today at 5:30 pm. The meeting will be held at the Minachom Atdao Pavilion across the baseball field. The election of new board of directors will be the only agenda at this meeting. Bodybuilding federation meeting

There will be a meeting on Monday, October 11 2010 at 5 pm at Gold’s Gym to reestablish the bodybuilding and weightlifting federations in the Northern Marianas. Boys varsity baseball postponed again

Due to government shutdown, the Marianas Intramural Sports Organization’s boys’ varsity baseball games will be pushed against next week Friday, according to MISO acting president Nick Gross.

Among the participating teams for the season are Mount Carmel School, Kagman High School, Marianas High School, and Saipan Southern High School.

Tinian High School will be taking part in MISO’s varsity baseball tournament, which is scheduled for the first week of November.

Oct. qualifier starts tomorrow

The Refaluwasch Golf Association will commence its October qualifier tomorrow, at the Laolao Bay east course. Show time is 11 am and tee-time is 12 pm.
