Strong first innings zoom power house teams in Chamolinian softball

 

After Julian Camacho’s walk and Jerry Ayuyu’s single in the top of the first, Peter Sablan rocketed a three-run home run and the Man Amigos did not let go of the advantage to go all the way to their 27-14-victory over Saipal.

Joey Dela Cruz hit a solo home run before Eric Palacios drove him in on an error by the catcher to secure the lead by five runs.

James Fleming doubled and John Terlaje drove him in with a single in the second inning and the Man Amigos left Saipal behind.

Saipal has not scored a run in two straight innings, then, Jeff Cabrera pinned them down harder with a two-run home run in the third.

The Man Amigos had three outs in the top of the fourth inning, but not after pounding Saipal with 11 hits that included Palacios’ two-run triple, Terlaje’s two-run double and Jerry Ayuyu’s one-run triple.

With Kuich Damian firing a two-run home run, Payton Sakuma and Luis hitting solo home run apiece, Saipal was only able to cut Man Amigos lead by half in the bottom of the fourth inning.

In the opening half of the fifth inning, JJ Laniyo popped a solo home run, Jeff Cabrera, a two-run home run and Ayuyu a two RBI single to finish off Saipal.

Island Rebels 21, Team Familia 7

Ray Cepeda walked, Roy Celis singled and Toi Celis drove-in three runs with his home run as Island Rebels walloped Team Familia in the bottom of the first inning to remain undefeated.

Jeff Isaac added an RBI single and BJ Babauta drove-in a run with a sacrifice fly to cap their nine-run first inning before Cepeda batted for the second time and rocketed a three-run home run.

Team Familia completed two innings with only two runs scored.

The Island Rebels continued the streak with Byron Kaipat leading off a single then, Mitch Aaron knocked-in a run-scoring triple. Wally Chong fired an RBI double and Babauta sacrificed a fly ball for the second time driving-in another run in the second inning.

Cris Alepuyo singled and John Guerreo hit a two-run home run in an attempt to recover but Celis who replaced Roy in the outfield caught Marc Cepeda’s fly ball.

Chura 16, Berdax 10

Tyron Omar tripled, Ben Tagabuel took the first base on a base-on-ball before Mel Sakisat who struck out Berdax’ first batter in the top of the first inning, launched a three-run homerun as Chura responded toughly in the bottom of first inning.

Leeroy Sablan hit a solo home run.

Chura held Berdax scoreless in two more innings.

With one out in the bottom of the second, Fred Sato hit a solo home run.

Chura went on to pound Berdax with George David knocking-in a two-run double in the bottom of the third.

Tagabuel had an RBI single, Sakisat fired his fourth base hit in the game—a two-run triple, Stan Laniyo hit an RBI single and Dave Camacho knocked-in a two run double to finish off Berdax.

UR Balls 12, Freedom Air 10

Down by two runs in the first inning, Vince Sablan Jr., launched a two-run shot to cut Freedom Air Flyers’ lead to half.

John Pangelinan doubled and Harlan Reyes fired a two RBI single to tie the ball game in the bottom of the second.

A double play by short stop Oliver Secharmidal and first baseman John Paul Lizama helped the UR Balls keep the Freedom Air Flyers scoreless in fourth straight innings.

Joshua Arriola and Joe Lizama singled before Reyes fired a two-run double for his second base hit in the game as the UR Balls rallied in the fourth inning.

Lizama’s two-run home run ended the Flyers’ home to close-in.
