With a single penalty shot followed by a pair of successful lay ups, Tabora set the lead in the first quarter.
Gilbert Miranda sizzled with seven of his nine points in the second quarter to help control DL Gas’ offense and widened the gap in the second quarter.
Jun Galzote chipped in five of his 11 points.
Tabora kept his adrenaline surge in the third quarter where he sizzled with 13 of his total points.
With Jojo Garon charging the hoops furiously in the middle of the fourth quarter, and Tabora continue to fire nine more points, DL Gas protected the lead all the way to the final buzzer.
Budz Camacho who scattered eight of his total points in the second half led QQ’s scoring hands to finish with 20 markers.
Sonics 89, Lynn’s BBQ 72
Leo Galarse connected a three-point play in the last few seconds of the third quarter and helped the Sonics back on their feet and they never trailed to beat Lynn’s BBQ.
Bryan Ajoste and Jojo Ong led the Sonics scoring hands but a series of turn over caused them to fall behind.
Raymark Castro and Noel David put up Lynn’s BBQ’s lead in the first quarter. David maintained his scoring feat in the second quarter basketing three penalty shots while CJ Concepcion blasted from outside the three-point line to help Lynn’s stay afloat.
Leo Apelo scored 13 of his 17 points including the last minute three-pointer to help strengthen DL Gas.
Galarse closed the gap with a two-pointer and the referee’s call on Lynn’s defender put him to the free-throw line. He made it and DL Gas went on to keep the lead.
