TANAPAG Middle School now holds a 5-0 record in the girls middle school division of the SBL-PSS Interscholastic Softball League SY23-24 after winning their last two games at the Dandan Middle School baseball field.
On Saturday, TMS collected their fourth win by blanking Mount Carmel School, 3-0.
TMS drew first blood in the bottom of the second with a solo homerun courtesy of Kayshlie Aguon.
MCS then started to gain some confidence and took more chances at bat with some of its players reaching as far as second base. However, they remained scoreless while TMS clinched two more runs to triumph, 3-0.
TMS fifth straight win was acquired on Monday when it defeated Hopwood Middle School, 3-1.
It was in the second inning when TMS’ Jonielle Pua hit a two-RBI triple. Teammate Aguon chipped in an RBI single in the bottom of the fifth to extend the gap, 3-0.
HMS went down fighting by scoring one run in the bottom of the sixth before bowing down to TMS, 1-3.
Winner’s circle
Joining the winner’s circle on Saturday were Dandan Middle School, which edged Francisco M. Sablan Middle School, 13-12; and Chacha Oceanview Middle School, which slipped past Mount Carmel School, 6-5.
