Team Palau 2010 comprises of: Peoria Koshiba – Chef de Mission/Athletics Coach, Steven Patris – Weightlifting Coach, Tina Shima – Swimming Coach, Rubie Joy “UB” Gabriel and Rodman Teltull representing Athletics, Maverick Faustino for Weightlifting, and Maria Gibbons for Swimming.
The Team arrived safely in Singapore and is settled in at the Games Village.They are scheduled to return on the 28th; as part of the Youth Olympic Games, all Teams are required to attend the full duration of the Games.Not only are there sporting events at the Youth Games, there are also various cultural and educational programs that the young athletes will participate in.Palau also had the honor of being part of the Olympic Torch Relay as our very own Maria Gibbons was selected as a torch bearer for the first ever Youth Olympic Games.
