Team Palau receives 60K from Shell

With a handful of dignitaries, and supporters of Team Palau came to grace the 2010 Micronesian Games Fundraising Dinner giving out their financial support, it was Shell Company who stole the show as the number one oil company in Palau headed by Area Manager Frank Kyota presented a check amounting to $60,000 to the Vice President of the Republic of Palau Kerai Mariur to subsidize the preparations for athletes towards the forthcoming event in August.

The Dinner, spearheaded by his Excellency Johnson Toribiong, President of the Republic of Palau, together with the two paramount Chiefs, Ibedul and Reklai, and the Traditional Council of Chiefs, Senate President Tmetuchl and House of Delegates Speaker Idechong with the members of the 8th Olbiil er a Kelulau, was held at the Ngarachamayong Cultural Center, 11th of March Thursday from 6 pm to 10pm.

The Dinner was subsidized by Bilung Gloria Salii and the Ngarachamayong Cultural Center venue, Shimbros (main beverage sponsor), Sarah’s Yum Yum Bar and Grill (main dinner sponsor), Palau Pacific Resort (dessert), Drop – Off Bar and Grill (dinner sponsor), Mingles Restaurant (dinner sponsor), NECO Plaza (dinner sponsor), Best Coffee and Donut House (after dinner coffee and tea) and Shell Company (set up services and beverages).

On the other hand auctions was sponsored by Palau Shipping Company, Mr. Ling Inabo and Tebang Woodcarving, Belau National Museum, Shimbros, Jezzrae, Ms. Mandy Thyssen Etpison, PNCC, PRA, Palau Swimming Association, Palau Basketball Federation, Palau Beach Bungalows, National Development Bank of Palau, Dolphins Pacific, Inc., Ms. Frida Delmau, Tia Belau, Milad L Dil, Mr. Andrew Shiro.
