D’Pirates Team Sang currently led SEDA’s Chichirika Division after edging past Chagi Fan with 87 wins and 48 losses. Indalecio and Manoloto drew first blood against Shawn Delacruz and Elton Santos in the opening round of the Singles 301 Double in/ Double out round.
By guiding their first two darts in the doubles area to open the tournament, they were able to move swiftly around the board to shoot their doubles and finally landing their last dart in the same doubles area to close games one and two.
Chagi Fan redeemed themselves in the same round, games three and four courtesy to Joseph Aldan and Ken Villagomez. At the bottom of the opening round the scores were up two points all.
During the Partners Wild and Crazy Cricket round areas 17, 20, 19, 15, 18, and 16 were secured in that order slicing the points in half; one point per team, three points all.
Team Sang grabbed their opportunity during the Partners 501 Double in/ Double out round. Indalecio and Manoloto were joined by teammates Isaac Aguon and Ray Agulto to clinch both points from the round leaving Chagi Fan behind.
Chagi Fan, with the bitter taste of revenge, fought back in the Partners Burma Road by collaring both points from the round. Elton Santos, Joseph Aldan, Shawn Delacruz, and Jon Jon San Nicholas guided their darts precisely as though it was a cricket round to secure areas on the board to score points on giving them the domination in that round.
During the final Team 1001/1101 Double in/ Double out round team Chagi Fan proved to be no match against the top contenders of the C division falling away during the last minutes of the game. Team Chagi Fan missed a few crucial areas such as areas 18, 19, 20, and the all important bull’s eye receiving the upset of the game, 8-7.
Team Chagi Fan currently settles for second place in the Chichirka Division after suffering their most recent upset, Chagi Fan has a record standing of 77 wins and 58 losses with a 57.04 percent winning average in comparison to D’Pirates Team Sang’s 64.44 percent winning average. All C Division games, Chichirika and Kingfisher Divisions, are scheduled to commence on Wednesdays at various bar venues around the island.
IT&E Kamote tops Tuesday B Division
Dominating in the Partners 501 Double in/ Double out round and Partners Burma Road was the best game plan team IT&E’s Kamote brought on the arena against team Dart Pimps, 9-6 to give them the edge they needed to clinch the throne in the Tuesday B Division held at the Jonny’s Bar and Grill.
During the opening round of the Singles 301 Double in/ Double out round the points were divided equally between the two teams. Silvester Javier and Nathan Chargualaf drew first blood after aiming their darts in the doubles area to initiate their winning rally. Javier and Chargualaf then moved swiftly across the crucial areas of the bored leaving the Kamotes behind.
During games three and four of the round IT&E redeemed themselves. Eric Pascual and Peejay Naval clinched the other two points allotted for the round to even up with the Dart Pimps. At the bottom of the Partners Wild and Crazy Cricket round the scores were still tied at three points all.
During the Singles Regular Cricket round Kaysie Aquino and Eric Pascual closed areas 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, and 20 and came up short to close the bull’s eye off the board but with their efforts they helped move their team forward. After dominating the Partners Burma Road team IT&E Kamote tucked the win under their belts.
Team Dart Pimps was able to redeem themselves during the final Team 1001/1101 round. However they were still three points shy away from defeating the current top contenders, 9-6.
Akiramenai 8, Sabalu 7
Although suffering their most current upset team Charlie’s Sabalu still sit comfortable in second place overall in Tuesday “B” Division. Team Akiramenai Buddies routed past team Sabalu by a hairline at the Buddies Bar and Grill, 8-7.
During the Singles 301 Double in/ Double out round Everett Indalecio and Damien Spis garnered their 301 points swiftly before Alejandro Prado and Alfred Muna got their bearing in the game.
Akiramenai swiftly took control of the game after notching the last two points of the round in games three and four nailing doubles and sealing the round without a problem. At the bottom of the entry round the scores were up two points all.
In the Partners Wild and Crazy Cricket round, Partners 501 Double in/ Double out round, and Singles Regular Cricket Round all of the points were split in half cleanly leaving the overall tally for both teams six points all; Akiramenai nailed their break away during the Partners Burma Road where Alejandro Prado, Bam Vicente, Nelson Decena, and Alfred Muna clinched both points of the round having the score at 8-7 before the crucial Team 1001/1101 Double in/ Double out round.
Team Sabalu failed to achieve a come-from-behind win even though the notched the final point during the Team round. They were still a hairline behind against their foe, 8-7.
