‘The Big Hit’ looking for big knock out at Wan Chai

Saipan’s Kelvin “The Big Hit” Fitial holds several grappling titles, including the CNMI Grappling Gold Medal and the Guam Heavyweight Grappling Gold Medal. He is “a stand-up fighter” who prefers to stay on his feet and exchange fists with his opponents, as shown by his record of seven knock outs out of ten wins.

Title carrier Fitial is the region’s most dominant heavyweight fighter. Growing up in a tough area, Fitial was forced to constantly defend himself against neighborhood bullies from a young age, but it was in MMA that he found a way to productively channel his fighting skills and tremendous strength.

Fitial has competed in MMA in the Pacific Islands, the Philippines, Korea, and China. He has won numerous medals in grappling, but he primarily uses his wrestling skills to keep his opponents on their feet so that he can stand and trade punches with them to knock them out whilst standing up.

“Hungry” Yang is one of Korean MMA’s fastest rising young stars, having started training while just a 15-year old high school freshman. Since his debut fight he has also won the Korean National Grappling Championship; a product of the team at Yong-In University which has produced several Olympians.

However, it is his striking skills for which he is best known and most feared. Since making his professional MMA debut at the age of 19, his devastating power has earned him multiple wins by knockout inside the first round. His heavy hands are matched by a granite chin, and with his 2010 release from the Korean military enabling him to now fight overseas.
