The 22 handicapper shot 93 and tied with Wabol’s 71 net score. His front gross of 48 however went down to 37 against Wabol’s 38, thus, winning the first place besting 12 other golfers.
In the battle of lowest handicappers, two-handicapper Wabol finished two strokes under par 34 in the back nine, grossing 73, while Bae Yong Man improved to one stroke over par 37 in the back nine for his 75 gross.
Bae who had participated in Korean tournaments settled for third place with net of 73.
Tars Olopai and Asterio Tawanpiy both eight handicapper, both shot 84 and tied at 76 net, although their performance in the green were not identical.
Olopai shot 6-over par 42 in the front and back nines, while Tawanpiy after firing 5-over par 41 in the front, slowed down a bit with 7-over par 43 in the back nine.
Joe Wabol beat Tony Rogolifoi in the fourth place in a scorecard play off as they tied in net 74.
Trailing them Olopai, Tawanpiy, Dwain Stephens who tied with them at 76 net, Manny Mangarero and Jordan Kosam, 78; Ben Bae, 86; and Tom Tebuteb, 89.
Olopai also shot closest to the pin in Hole No. 7 while Wabol in Hole No. 14.
