Team TKK2 bagged a five-run first running on Sablan and Roy Celis’ home runs, along with three runs from Jerry Ayuyu, Toi Celis, and J. Dela Cruz.
Red Torch’s Payton Sakuma fired back with a two-run home run.
Dela Cruz went 2-for-3 and hit TKK2’s fifth and final home run in the top of the fourth. Teammates Julian Camacho and BJ Attao added one run each.
A series of fly balls resulted in scoreless second and third innings for Red Torch. Sakuma hit his second home run to lift the team.
Team TKK2 only had to hold on to win via mercy rule. They eliminated the Pelelius, 16-5 in yesterday’s quarterfinals. Team Red Torch defeated Asahi, 14-13, the Koror Tigers crushed team Hilitai, 12-0, and Wassup downed Dial Rent To Own, 15-4.
The Tigers and Wassups faced in yesterday’s semis, but results were not available during press time.
Team TKK2 won the league’s pennant title after beating the Tigers in last week’s tiebreaker game.
The league’s best of three championship series is scheduled for Sunday, May 29 at the Dandan Ball Field.
