Tokahao pummels TutuRamz in softball opener, 17-3

TOKAHAO manhandled TutuRamz, 17-3, in the opening game of the 2024 Budweiser Belau Amateur Softball Association League at the Dandan baseball field on Sunday.

TutuRamz were first up to bat, but could not make much of the opportunity with only one runner on base before the three outs were made.

In the bottom half, Tokahao’s Clint Quitugua led the onslaught with a two-RBI single. Teammates Mark Villagomez, Rob Bansil, Jojo and Alvin Takai then contributed a single and an RBI each for a 6-0 advantage.

TutuRamz had no answer in the top of the second inning while Tokahao continued to widen their lead, 12-0, with six more runs highlighted by Geoff Cruz’s two-run homer.

In the third inning, TutuRamz finally scored two runs and delivered another in the top of the fourth inning to cut the lead, 3-12.

However, all hope was lost in the bottom half as Tokahao scored five runs, this time with Rob Bansil taking over the spotlight with a two-run homer for a 17-3 lead.

Aftet TutuRamz failed to score in the top of the fifth, the game ended early via the 10-run mercy rule with Tokahao as the victor.
