TONY Satur topped the Amigos Golf Club’s September Ace of the Month tournament with a two-day net total of 140 at the west course of Laolao Bay Golf & Resort on Sunday, Sept. 15.
During the qualifier round on Sept. 8, Satur competed against 13 other golfers and shot a gross of 85. Sporting a handicap of 14, Satur seized the lead with a net score of 71.
He managed to carry the momentum over the week in the ace round by scoring a gross of 83, a net score of 69 and two-day net score of 140, which gave him the September Ace of the Month title.
Ned Norita and Jay Muna finished in a tie for second place.
With a handicap of 6, Norita shot a net score of 74 in the qualifier round a net of 69 in the ace round for a total net score of 143.
Jay Muna, with a handicap of 5, closed the qualifier round with a net of 70 and slightly struggled in the ace round with a net of 73 to end with a two-day net total of 143.
Also joining the spotlight were the Par 3 winners of the option plays. Dung Tenorio led the list on holes #3 and #7; Joe Sasamoto on hole #13; and Joe “Kamikaze” Camacho on hole #17. The cash prize for each hole was $140.
