After topping their rivals, teams USSP Fotten Palau and Utopia NTT Docomo Hustlers claimed their first place trophies last Sunday.
The Palaus – hailing from the Obyan Division – tallied 61 wins and 65 losses for a 48.4 percent win rate. The D’Pirates Who-Oahs came in second place at 55 wins and 71 losses. A tiebreaker was all it took for the VFW ToroKeyRees to steal third place from Wild Bills Shark Attack.
With the best overall record of 90 wins and 36 losses, the Hustlers easily trounced their Agingan Division opponents. The IT&E Incredibles fell in second place while the IT&E Voyagers settled for third. Both teams earned 83 wins and 43 losses for a 65.9 percent win rate.
Other participating teams were the Jonny’s Home Boyz, D’Pirates Team Pirates, and USSP Turtles.
The Fotten Palaus included: Team Captain Taylor Watanabe, John Mongami, Ron Chisato, Arnel Orbita, Mei Rengiil, and Anni Tesiro.
Team Captain Senen Pangilinan, Jerry Soriano, Rowel Mariano, Joey Lucido, Robert Sanciangco, Jomer Enriquez, Gerry Balarao, and Erwin Gomez made up the Hustlers.
The league also featured its Budweiser Cup Champions – the Obyan Division’s Who-Oahs and Agingan’s Voyagers.
The D’Pirates Who-Oahs included: Team Captain Ray Takai, Edward Suzuki, Tero Takai, Joe Villagomez, Joey Cruz, Gus Taitano, Randy Sablan, and Ton Barcinas.
The Voyagers were composed of: Team Captain Rolly Villanueva, Roman Rodriguez, Jojo Talibong, RJ Mascarinas, Luis Fajardo, Boyet Sequioco, Ric Villanueva, and Rey Pinangay.
The USSP Turtles, led by Team Captain Nizer Masayos, bagged the Sportsmanship Award and a Plaque of Appreciation was handed to Jonny’s Bar and Grill.
‘Run the Rack’ awards were given to Taylor Watanabe and Jerry Soriano. Franklin Palacios, Jimmy Wang, Ron Chisato, and Juancho Mendoza had most ‘8-Balls On Break.’ The league’s prestigious MVP awards were given to Mei Rengiil (12 wins), Jerry Soriano (16 wins), and Rolly Villanueva (16 wins).
