All proceeds will benefit the CNMI March Against Cancer group. Tournament coordinators are highly encouraging many to participate in this golf tournament.
The tournament is scheduled to kick off on April 2nd, 2011 at the Lao Lao Bay Golf Resort, West Course. Entrance fee is set at $100 per player. The entrance fee will cover: Green Fees, ditty bag, drinks on the course, awards, and more.
Show time is at 6:30 am; tee off will follow shortly thereafter at 7:30 am. The awards banquet will follow shortly after the tournament on the course.
The competition will follow the Double Peoria system. According to Brent Kelley “The tournament committee secretly selects six holes. These are usually two par 3s, two par 4s and two par 5s, and often one of each type per nine (one par 3 on the front, the other on the back nine). Competitors do not know which holes have been selected.
Groups tee off and complete their rounds, playing stroke play and scoring in the normal fashion with one exception: double par is the maximum. Following completion of play, the six Peoria holes are announced.”
First through fifth place finishers will get cash prizes. First place finisher will receive $500, second place receives $400, third place receives $300, fourth place receives $200, and fifth place receives $100.
Sixth through tenth place finishers will receive consolation prizes. There will be raffle prizes available as well including the Closest-to-the-Pin Award and Hole-in-One Prizes.
Registration forms can be found on the MMAC site at http://www.ccamarianas.org or it can be picked up at the TSA office at the airport 2nd floor departure. Payments maybe made there as well and checks are kindly asked to made payable to Marianas March Against Cancer.
