Two-in-a-row for Cepeda

Nizer Masayos also repeated in second place, losing only to Cepeda.

The champion drew his son – also named Patrick – in the first round and took a close match. Cepeda defeated Patrick Taitano and Masayas en route to the top of the winners bracket.

The band joined in, with Nolas Kaliga playing after performing at the 19th Hole the night before. He took a close first match from veteran sharpshooter Luis Aldan. Taitano bypassed Dennis Cruz and Kaliga before Cepeda sent him to the losers bracket.

Masayas defeated Ron Chisato, Norman Tenorio, and George Pedro before falling to Cepeda. Tenorio won his first round match with Leonard Sablan, while Pedro slipped by Taylor Watanabe.

Aldan fought back through the losers bracket, eliminating Cruz, Patrick Cepeda Jr., and Taitano. He fell one game short of the money, as Chisato stormed back with wins over Sablan, Kaliga, Pedro, and Aldan.

Chisato won against Aldan, but Masayas cruised past him for the second time and earned a second try against Cepeda.

Cepeda still had his rhythm to sail to his second straight first place trophy.
