Saipan Little League Baseball Inc., president Tony Rogolifoi announced that all is set on Sunday, Feb. 14.
Teams will assemble at 8 a.m. and the opening ceremony will start at 9 a.m.
The Saipan Little League 2010 season, Rogolifoi said should kick off at 9:30 a.m.
The guests in the opening ceremony include the Gov. Benigno R. Fitial, Saipan Mayor Donald Flores, House Speaker Froilan Tenorio, Senate President Paul Manglona and several other members of the 17th Legislature.
SLLBI initially planned to open the league on Feb. 21. It decided to push the opening to this weekend upon learning that the LG Twins professional baseball team from Korea were set to end its training sessions yesterday.
Rogolifoi added that another baseball team from Japan will accommodate the baseball field facility for their spring training as well. This will happen from March 1 to March 7, which would disrupt the program schedule if the league were to start on the Feb. 21.
